I’ll start by saying this product is great, easy to use, and it works! I’m giving 4 starts instead of 5 for two simple points:
1) I have externally routed cables and the support mechanism on the chain stay requires a bit more caution since it meets the frame right near one of the points where there are cable fasteners on the frame.
2) the part that supports and pulls back on my 105 rear derailleur doesn’t make the sturdiest contact with it. I use extra caution when extending chain lift as not to apply any sideways force to the derailleur as I’m scared it’ll bend or get damaged.

I share these for consideration in future design updates. I’m super happy with this product and it’s made my life so much easier when replacing my wheel between indoor trainer set and outdoor set, and when cleaning my drive train. Love it!

Success with first time use

Tried it for the first time today to change disk brake pads on my rear wheel. Watched the instructional videos a few times which helped a great deal. As a result the whole operation worked like a charm. I suspect I’ll need to watch them again next time as a reminder. But eventually, it’ll become second nature. Definitely kept my fingers clean and the the chain never touched the bike, just as advertised.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to

Works like a charm. Does exactly what it promises! What more can you ask for?
Now my fingers and my frame both stay clean when ever I have to remove the rear wheel.

Great for disc brake bikes

There is a little bit of a learning curve alright but once you have it set up it is really great to use. The product support is excellent and the shipping was insanely quick. I think any of the reviews I've seen knocking it were by people who hadn't actually ever used it.

A fantastic tool!

It is a little fiddly to work out the first time, but this tool makes taking of wheel very easy, especially with QR skewers. I use it across 9 bikes with 6 different derailleurs, and it is flawless!

A great tool for bike maintenance…but read the instructions!

I think the message inside the box is really important. This is a very easy tool to use but isn’t immediately intuitive. However, their guidance online and in video is hugely helpful and within minutes, I had gotten the hang of Chainlift and, importantly, it is a hugely useful and helpful tool. Would recommend to everyone who would like some useful help in maintaining their bike. Chainlift makes it easy.

good service after false start

the first chainlift device would not work on both my wife’s bike and my own. seemed the springs were too weak as the chainlift would not hold it’s position. Fernando sent out a replacement within days and this one works as advertised.

Pleased with the device and also the service and support.
